The amount of points Werder have picked up from their first two games shows that these mechanisms are becoming embedded into the team. The Coach has his own opinion on this: “You can’t hold anything back – you’ve got to constantly invest your energy in whatever you do. Therefore you’ve got to be completely focussed at the right moments, but then be relaxed the rest of the time.”
It’s not just Nuremberg that Kohfeldt wants to beat: “We want to win every game. It didn’t happen against Hannover, but parts of that game we played better than when we played Frankfurt. We want to always improve of course, and play nicer football. The main aim is success, and will stay that way. Every game doesn’t have to be an attacking master class, as long as we succeed.”
