Bartels will be back on the pitch, explains Kohfeldt, but he “won’t be immediately with the other players.” At the same time, the head coach again stressed that “I told him that I’m not so concerned about when he comes back, but rather that he comes back at the same level he left at.”
Bartels should be training with the team again by the end of summer training, but will have to keep giving 100 percent in rehab until then. “It’s not an easy time for him at the moment. He’s really working hard in the gym right now. If you see him in the car park, give him a few calm words of encouragement.” It’s a plea which surely be met happily by the fans of the likeable forward.
