He’s expected to return to team training on Wednesday

Johannes Eggestein is back on the pitch. “It’s going quite well so far. I took part this morning. In the afternoon I trained individually and tomorrow I should be able to join in fully again,” said the 20-year-old. Eggestein will be able to join up with the rest of the team in preparation for the Frankfurt game after missing the Hannover match due to an ankle injury.

“I was able to do some stuff while I was out, I didn’t have to stop completely. I could work in the gym and on the treadmill and I see myself as well-prepared for the upcoming games,” said Eggestein.
