A day that Milot Rashica and the whole Kosovan team won’t be forgetting in a long time. On Monday evening, Kosovo, who have only been recognised in international football since 2016, recorded their first even win after eleven competitive games. Rashica & Co. beat the Faroe Islands 2-0 in the UEFA Nations League. The SV Werder winger made the starting XI, playing 79 minutes and setting up the decisive second goal with a cross.

Rashica isn't the only one who will hold the memory dear. A little Kosovo fan was overjoyed after the match. He was eagerly holding aloft a cardboard sign, begging the Green-White number eleven to give him his shirt after the game. Rashica, the sportsman that he is, did not disappoint and duly handed over his jersey to the boy, who was overcome with glee.

The evening didn’t go quite as well for Ludwig Augustinsson, however, as Sweden threw away a 2-0 lead, eventually losing 3-2 to Turkey. The SVW right back started his side’s Nations League debut and played the full 90, setting up Sweden’s first goal with a glancing header.

Milos Veljkovic also went the distance for Serbia against Romania. The 22-year-old battled valiantly during a tight 2-2 draw, in which Serbia twice took the lead.

While Veljkovic and Co. remain unbeaten in the Nations League, Theodor Gebre Selassie had a night to forget. The Green-White right back watched on from the bench as his Czech side were thrashed 5-1 by World Cup hosts Russia.
