Jaroslav Drobny has today left Werder to join Fortuna Düsseldorf. The goalkeeper made his debut for his new side in the Telekom Cup this afternoon, with Düsseldorf beating Hertha Berlin 3-1. “The last few details were worked out shortly before his first game for Fortuna and we got the contracts signed in time. We wish Jaroslav Drobny all the best for the future,” said Michael Rudolph.

Drobny signed for Werder from Hamburg in summer 2016 and made ten Bundesliga appearances for the Green-Whites. The goalkeeper has 200 Bundesliga appearances to his name and goes in search of a new challenge in Düsseldorf.
