Sebastian Langkamp: “We weren’t moving forward aggressively at the beginning of the game – that’s what we were doing well towards the start of the season. Today, this only worked at certain points. Bayern showed their quality today at the start of the second half. We hoped to get more when it was 2-1, but we deserved to lose today.”
Ludwig Augustinsson: “You need a top performance against Bayern, and we didn’t provide one. I don’t know why, but we sat really deep at the start of the second half. We made it too easy for them with the second goal. Towards the end, we tried everything to get the equaliser. It worked it Freiburg, but didn’t today.”
Davy Klaassen: “Bayern were better today and deserved to win, even though we managed to keep the ball in their half for a bit after the equaliser. Bayern have suffered a bit, but they’re the best team in the league and we weren’t good enough to beat them.”
Florian Kohfeldt: “We tried to defend bravely, but if you slip then the opponent gets chances. There weren’t many in my eyes. We had moments where we could have scored, but we didn’t find the finish. I didn’t see a weak Bayern; they were brutal with their quality. World-class players like Coman and Gnabry are just massively difficult to defend against.”
Frank Baumann: “It was a very decent performance, but it’s a defeat so of course we’re disappointed. We lost the ball too easily again today and it was difficult to get back into the game after we went 2-1 down. We also lacked a bit of luck in the end.”
