On Tuesday afternoon, while thirteen Werder players are away with their respective national teams on international duty, a new training week has begun for the rest of the squad at the Weser-Stadion. Philipp Bargfrede trained individually this afternoon and will continue to train alone for the rest of the week. Niklas Moisander has also returned to team training.

Florian Kohfeldt’s training group has shrunk this week as a result of thirteen Werder players departing Bremen to represent their countries on international duty. Within the squad still in Bremen, Philipp Bargfrede will train individually for the entire week and not participate in full squad training. However, Niklas Moisander has returned to team training after overcoming a minor bruise sustained in the match with Borussia Mönchengladbach. The Finn will fully train for the rest of the week. Joshua Sargent, who suffered a knock in training last week, has travelled with the USA for their upcoming international fixtures.
