Opening match vs. Hannover 96 on Saturday afternoon

Timings decided for Bundesliga matchdays 1 to 6

SV Werder have the ideal kick off time for their first Bundesliga match. The home game against Hannover 96 on matchday one will be played on Saturday, 25th August, at 15:30 CEST in the Weser-Stadion. The German Football League (DFL) released the details of the fixtures on Wednesday morning.

Three of the other matches will also take place at the classic Bundesliga kick-off slot. However, the home game against 1. FC Nürnberg on matchday three will be at 15:30 CEST on Sunday, 16th September. Whilst the home duel with Hertha BSC will be played on Tuesday, 25th September, at 18:30 CEST as part of the busy, so-called “English week”.

Matchday 1: Saturday, 25th August, 15:30 CEST - SV Werder Bremen vs. Hannover 96
Matchday 2: Saturday, 1st September, 15:30 CEST – Eintracht Frankfurt vs. SV Werder Bremen
Matchday 3: Sunday, 16th September, 15:30 CEST – SV Werder Bremen vs. 1. FC Nürnberg
Matchday 4: Saturday, 22nd September, 15:30 CEST – FC Augsburg vs. SV Werder Bremen
Matchday 5: Tuesday, 25th September, 18:30 CEST – SV Werder Bremen vs. Hertha BSC
Matchday 6: Saturday, 29th September, 15:30 CEST – VfB Stuttgart vs. SV Werder Bremen
