Michael Zetterer is on his way back. The keeper trained with the first team on Tuesday, just in time for the start of preparations for the Bayern game on Saturday. He trained with the other goalkeepers in the morning before taking part in the team training session in the afternoon.

Zetterer had not been able to train in the past few weeks due to conjunctivitis and so the 22-year-old missed the Bundesliga opener in Hoffenheim. Werder’s number two goalkeeper is now available for selection for the Green-Whites first home game of the season against last season’s champions Bayern Munich on Saturday (15:30 CEST).

Julian Rieckmann and Luca Plogmann from the U19 squad also took part in the training session on Tuesday.
