There has been an alteration to Werder’s winter break plans. The Green-Whites will now not take part in the “H-Hotels Winter Cup” in Bielefeld and instead they will travel to Alicante in Spain for a week-long training camp at the beginning of January. The Green-Whites will stay in the “Hotel la Finca Golf and Spa Resort” in Algorfa, just outside of Alicante, for the first week of January and prepare for the second half of the Bundesliga season.

“We want to use our short winter break to work intensively with the team so we can get off to the best possible start in the second half of the season. Spain is the place where we can get the optimal conditions for that preparation,” Werder’s sporting director Frank Baumann explained.
