Medical check at the hospital on the other side of the Weser, endurance test at the club’s fitness centre, photo-shoot, interview, then last but not least, late in the afternoon, Felix Beijmo signed the contract with Frank Baumann. It was a busy day for the new Werder Bremen man, who actually flew back to Sweden later that evening. Feet up and relax? That’s not on the ambitious 20-year-old’s to-do list for the summer break. "This is my big chance here," he said. He wants to take this chance to get to peak fitness for the start of preseason and show everything he’s capable of. No wonder either; the right back is moving from the Swedish first division to a big club in one of Europe’s top leagues. That’s a big step, but is he scared?
