In the second friendly of this international break, SV Werder beat Regionalliga side BSV Rehden 4-1. But the Lower Saxony side, sitting very deep, and their impressive goalkeeper, made it hard for Florian Kohfeldt’s team for long periods of the game. Werder went in front early on through Max Kruse (13’) but they conceded an equaliser just after the break as Kai Evers’ shot from distance was deflected in. The Green-Whites steadied the ship however and went on to score three more goals to decide the match. Max Kruse scored again, this time from the penalty spot (70’) whilst Niklas Schmidt (73’) and Maximilian Eggestein (84’) also got on the scoresheet to put the result beyond doubt.
