In 2018, young talent Josh Sargent from the USA will finally fulfil his long-held dream of playing in the Bundesliga by transferring to SV Werder Bremen. Although a lot of fans in Germany are not aware of who he is, Josh Sargent is already well known for his talent in the USA and this week he was named ‘Soccer 2017 Young Male Player of the Year.’

The voting panel made up of USA first team players, head coaches and journalists really had no other option than to name Josh Sargent ‘Soccer 2017 Young Male Player of the Year.’ The 17-year old made 22 international appearances this year for both the USA under-17 and under-21 sides and scored 19 goals. He also played for the under-20s at the 2017 U-20 World Cup, winning the Silver Boot.

Sargent captained the USA under-17 side at the 2017 U-17 World Cup and was even called into camp for the USA national first time for its friendly against Portugal, although he did not play due to injury.

We are certainly looking forward to seeing you soon, Josh!
