Moisander suffers muscle strain

Niklas Moisander suffered a muscle strain in his right thigh in SV Werder’s friendly against ajax on Saturday – this was revealed after the defender underwent further tests on Monday in Innsbruck. The 31 year old will therefore be sidelined for at least the coming week.

“The injury is very disappointing for Niklas. He returned from the summer break in very good shape, we hope he’ll be back available quickly,” said head coach Alexander Nouri, who was forced to substitute the Finland international after just 39 minutes on Saturday afternoon.
