++ SV Werder had the chance to meet former player Marko Arnautovic over the weekend. The Austrian left the Green-Whites in 2013. "It was nice to see you all again and play against the team," said Arnautovic via Facebook. Highlights of both games against West Ham are available on our YouTube channel. +++

++ Ticket info for Würzburg game: Due to the relocation of the DFB Pokal first round match against the Würzburger Kickers to Offenbach, there have been many questions from fans regarding tickets. This may help: tickets in the away section are still valid and there will be a free choice of seats. Row and seat number are no longer relevant. If people who have already purchased tickets would like to return them, then they have until 08/08/2017 to do by contacting SV Werder Bremen. +++

++ League start for Zander and Guwara: Bundesliga 2 got underway over the weekend and with it the season started for Werder loanees Luca Zander and Leon Guwara. While Zander celebrated a 1-0 win with St. Pauli, coming on in the 90th minute, Guwara played the full 90 minutes in Kaiserslautern's 3-0 defeat. Laszlo Kleinheisler has already won three matches with FC Astana and even got an assist in their 3-1 Champions League qualifying round win over Leagia Warsaw. Lennart Thy and VVV Venlo begin their season on 12th August. +++

++ Midweek match for U23s: Werder's U23s drew 1-1 with the Würzburger Kickers on Sunday. On Wednesday they face the other relegated second division side, Karlsruher SC, at 19:00 CEST. Florian Kohfeldt may have to do without goalkeeper Eric Oelschlägel as he suffered a facial injury. Should Oelschlägel not be fit enough to play, he will definitely be there to watch, as will hopefully lots of Werder fans. Come along! +++

++ Werder player in EURO semi-final: They are the surprise package of the European Championship: Austria! They reached the semi-final of the EUROs for the first time with a win over Spain on Sunday. The leader of Werder's defence, Katharina Schiechtl, has played in all four of Austria's matches at this year's EUROs and even Werder's men's captain Zlatko Junuzovic celebrated the success of his compatriots by writing "PROUD PROUD PROUD!" on Facebook. Denmark, who knocked Germany out in the last round, lie in store for Schiechtl and Austria. +++

++ Werder in real time: Werder's official German twitter account has reached 400,000 followers. Keep up to date with all the Green-White news on our social media channels! +++

++ Second Werder-Day: On Wednesday 09/08/2017 from 13:00 until 19:00 CEST there will be a second Werder-Day in Bremen's 'Hauptbahnhof - Ihr Einkaufsbahnhof'. This will offer a variety of things to do as well as information stands. The Werder football school,   FanMobil and WERDER BEWEGT – LEBENSLANG will all be there. +++
