The Werder captain’s Achilles has caused him problems

Werder will have to do without the services of Zlatko Junuzovic. The Green-Whites’ captain was unable to train on Thursday and will take an injury break due to the fact that his Achilles has caused him some issues. Furthermore, this means that he will not be able to take to the field in the two friendlies against West Ham on Friday and Saturday.

The Austrian is thought to have injured his Achilles earlier on in the training camp in Schneverdingen. Now, Junuzovic will take part in a more relaxed, individual training programme.
