Another SV Werder Bremen talent, Thore Jacobsen, has extended his contract at the club and will remain a Green-White. The wing-back signed his first professional contract in Bremen.
“We’re absolutely delighted that Thore Jacobsen will continue to wear a Werder jersey. The development he’s shown in the last few years here is promising stuff. We’re sure that he’ll continue to develop and become a Bundesliga player,” says sporting director Frank Baumann.
Thore Jacobsen is also delighted about the contract extension himself: “I’m over the moon to have extended my contract and I can’t wait to make the next steps with Werder Bremen. I’ve felt happy in Bremen right from the start and I’ll now continue to work on myself and improve.”
Thore Jacobsen has played for the Green-Whites since the 2015-2016 season. He moved from the Hamburger SV youth system to Werder. The 20-year-old has made 75 appearances for the Werder U23 team in the Germany third tier since then, scoring three goals in the process. Jacobsen celebrated his first call-up to the Bundesliga squad in the most last away game against Bayern Munich.
