Some Werder fans will certainly have been holding their breath when Thomas Delaney cut short his Tuesday afternoon training session and left the pitch after the warm-up. The Denmark international was complaining about back problems, but it was only a precaution and the Green-Whites' fans can breathe a little easier today.

While his teammates train again on Wednesday afternoon, the Werder midfielder will carry out an individual session inside the Weser-Stadion. He will have the company of Philipp Bargfrede, who is also training individually as he continues his comeback from injury.

Things will take a little longer for Izet Hajrovic. The 25-year-old re-joined team training at the camp in Schneverdingen, but is having to take things one step at a time as he gradually increases his workload so that his body can get used to the heavier strain. The attacker is alternating between individual and team training sessions. Hajrovic carried out an extra shift before his colleagues on Wednesday.
