The boys have been hard at work from the early morning until the late evening at their training camp in Zillertal. There’s never a dull moment as Werder train under the shadow of the Austrian Alps. Here’s your daily update on what you need to know about the training camp.

Day 1, Friday, 07.07.2017:

+++ Hello Parkstadion, hello “Ludde”: The players took part in their first two training sessions under the eye of a hundred-or-so Werder fans in the Parkstadion on Friday. Theodor Gebre Selassie, Thomas Delaney, Niklas Moisander, and Ulisses Garcia were all present after returning from international duty, whilst new Werder left-back and Sweden international Ludwig Augustinsson took part in his first training session with his new teammates. Although the transfer was announced months ago, we can finally say hello to “Ludde!” +++

+++ Hello running shoes: It was an early start for the Werder players on Friday morning – and they had to hit the track, which was a good opportunity for those new to Zillertal to take in the breathtaking scenery. Philipp Bargfrede, Lamine Sane, and Jaroslav Drobny took part in a cycling programme instead, as the trio are being eased into things. Bargfrede and Sane then spent their afternoon in the weight room. +++

+++ Hello Mika: Fin Bartels and his wife are celebrating the birth of their third child, and after two daughters the 30-year-old and his wife Jessi now have a baby boy on their hands. Mika came into the world on Friday morning. +++
