The friendly match with Royal Antwerp scheduled for Sunday, 7th January at 11:00 CET has been called off. “Unfortunately, we had too many injury worries yesterday, so we wouldn’t be able to put out two different squads. We would like to thank Antwerp for their understanding,” said sporting director Frank Baumann.

Friday saw a number of players suffer injuries during training. “Ishak Belfodil picked up a knock, Thomas Delaney has muscle problems, Aron Johannsson is unavailable and Ole Käuper is also a doubt,” added Baumann.

The originally second game of the day against FC Twente will go ahead at 15:00 CET as scheduled. “The other players will get a chance to play then,” Frank Baumann confirmed.
