What a performance! Werder’s midfielder and vice-captain Thomas Delaney almost single-handedly secured three points for his side in their World Cup qualifier against Armenia. The final score in Denmark’s away game was 4-1 with Delaney bagging three of the goals.

It didn't start according to plan for Denmark, as the home side took an early lead with just six minutes on the clock. Delaney got the equaliser exactly ten minutes later however, before Eriksen put the Danes in front just before half-time.

Delaney was able to display his true offensive quality in the second half with two late goals. The hat-trick added three goals to the one Werder’s midfielder scored in Denmark’s 4-0 win against Poland last Friday. Denmark currently sit in third place in Group E, behind Poland and Montenegro.
