Werder’s first pre-season friendly has been confirmed and it’s one to get excited about. The Green-Whites will test themselves against Europa League semi-finalists Ajax at the training camp in Zell am Ziller on Saturday 08/07/2017, with full details about the game to be released soon.
“Ajax are one of the top teams in Europe so this is an exciting game. We’re very pleased that we can put on such an attractive game at Zillertal. There will be lots of Werder fans following us to Zell am Ziller and this game will provide a highlight for them,” said managing director Frank Baumann. Gernot Paesold from Zilleral Tourism GmbH added, "We hope that more Werder fans will now head to Zillertal because of this attractive fixture.”
