Luca-Milan Zander is staying at Werder! The 21-year-old has extended his contract with SV Werder Bremen, ensuring that he will continue wearing the green & white shirt in the future.
“Luca has continued his development really well over the past few months with the U23s and he reaffirmed that at our training camp in Spain. We are convinced that he will be a key player in our team in the future and we are delighted that we will carry on working with him as he goes forward,” said Frank Baumann, sporting chief executive. “As a boy from the region, I have an emotional connection to continuing to play for the club. I want to take the next steps in my career here and get closer to the first team bit by bit,” said a delighted Luca Zander.
Luca-Milan Zander moved from the youth team at SC Weyhe to SV Werder’s academy in 2006. Zander made his Bundesliga debut for the first team in a home game against Bayer 04 Leverkusen on 26th September 2015. The full-back has played 17 times for Werder’s U23s in the third tier of German football this season.
