Pre-season calendar filling up

SV Werder Bremen are rapidly adding to their pre-season calendar. After training in the Zillertal Alps from 6th to 14th July, the club can now confirm a second training camp for the squad between 24th and 29th July, which will take the Green-Whites to Schneverdigen to add the final touches ahead of the 2017/18 season.

Max Kruse, Thomas Delaney and the rest of the squad will face some further endurance tests ahead of the camp. SV Werder will take on FC St. Pauli on 22nd July away from home as part of the second-tier side’s pre-season friendly programme, kicking off at 15:00 CEST at the Millerntor-Stadion.

  • 29th – 30th June: Individual performance tests
  • 2nd July, 14:00 CEST: First training session (public)
  • 3rd July: Opening press conference of the new season
  • 6th to 14th July: Training camp in Zillertal
  • 8th July: Friendly against Europa League runners-up Ajax in Zillertal
  • 15th July: Telekom-Cup in Gladbach
  • 22nd July, 15:00 CEST: Friendly against FC St. Pauli, Millerntor-Stadion
  • 24th to 29th July: Training camp in Schneverdingen
  • 5th August: Fans day around the Weser-Stadion
  • 11th to 14th August: 1st round of the DFB Cup
  • 18th to 20th August: 1st Bundesliga matchday
