Defender Janek Sternberg will leave SV Werder Bremen and move to Hungary Erstliga side Ferencváros Budapest. The 24-year-old will meet up with German head coach Thomas Doll as well as Ex-Werder player Oliver Hüsing at his new club, who moved in the summer.

"We are happy that we have found a solution for Janek which benefits all parties. He has always conducted himself very professionally and we wish him all the best for the future," explained sporting director Frank Baumann. Sternberg moved to the Green-Whites' U23 side from Hamburger SV in the summer of 2013.

Due to his impressive performances in the 3. Liga, the left-back made the jump to Werder's Bundesliga squad in 2014/15. Sternberg could only make two appearances in the top-flight for Werder, however.
