SV Werder Bremen beat VfL Osnabrück 5-1 on Friday evening. Max Kruse marked his return to the team with a brace, as Philipp Bargfrede also celebrated his comeback to the team. Florian Kainz put Werder in front assisted brilliantly by Kruse, who returned with two goals of his own in the second period. Lennart Thy and Robert Bauer completed the scoring for the Green-Whites, before Robert Kristo grabbed a consolation goal for the hosts.
