The Green-Whites began their preparations on Tuesday for their next Bundesliga home match without six players. Head coach Alexander Nouri had to do without Serge Gnabry and Milos Veljkovic, among others, during the afternoon’s training session. Both have been struggling with muscle problems but will be back in training later in the week.

Ulisses Garcia and Florian Grillitsch, who also were not able to take part in the session due to muscular issues, will on the other hand be out for longer and will not be available for the bottom of the table clash with Ingolstadt. Luca Caldirola and Justin Eilers trained individually on the sidelines.

There is no cause for concern when it comes to Lamine Sané, who was also permitted to miss the public training session on Tuesday. The Senegalese, who was back in the squad for the Nordderby after his long-term knee injury, had to cancel his participation in training due to a private meeting and will return on Wednesday. Jesper Verlaat replaced him in training.

Captain Clemens Fritz remained in the changing room throughout the session just to be cautious after coming down with a cold. He too will rejoin his teammates in training on Wednesday. Max Kruse had to finish training early after he picked up a slight knock to his and also returned to the stadium as a precaution.
