The injury list is long enough so it’s good news that no further names have been added to it before the Wolfsburg tie. Interim coach Alexander Nouri revealed on Friday that Izet Hajrovic, who had to take some time out after his impressive performance against Mainz, as well as Sambou Yatabaré will be available for selection for Saturday’s game.
“With Izet it looks very good. He was able to train without any problems this morning with the physiotherapists and will be there this afternoon,” said Nouri. Hajrovic’s competition on the wing, Sambou Yatabaré has also returned after he felt some stiffness in his calf.
However, Nouri will have to do without Fin Bartels, as the coach explained: “Unfortunately, he’ll definitely miss out.” Bartels trained individually again this week. In Friday afternoon’s press conference, Nouri also spoke about Santiago Garcia’s chances of featuring this weekend: “Santi has been out for a very, very long time and trained with the rest of the squad again for the first time yesterday. We have to be sensible and will make a decision after talking with everyone involved.”
