It's official: Werder have released their new kits for next season.
Delaney, Kruse, Bartels & Co. will all be plying their trade in the Weser-Stadion in the authentic dark-green NIKE HOME kit for the 2017/18 season. Particularly eye-catching is the powerful dark-green in combination with the light neon-green, with your attention being drawn towards the sides, the collar, the Nike Swoosh, and the back of the kit.
"The whole club can't wait for the new kit. It's always a special experience when I get to run out for the first time in a new kit, and it's a genuine highlight for players these days. You could tell that the new kit was well-received by the players at the first photo-shoot. Now the boys are motivated and looking forward to wearing it with pride on the pitch next season," said Frank Baumann.
It's well-known throughout the Bundesliga that the Werder fans aren't afraid of travelling to away games. Whether you're wearing the diamond on your chest in the Weser-Stadion or away from home, or with your friends in the pub or at a barbecue in your own back garden - you'll always be able to show your passion for Werder wherever you go. In a classic white, along with horizontal dark-green stripes, the away kit features the neon-highlights down the flanks of the shirt and the signature NIKE-Swoosh. Lebenslang grün-weiß!
The trio of kits is completed through the trusty purple alternate kit that's gained a crisp orange stripe that gives it a new look. The new NIKE kits don't just look good - they're also made with the utmost of efficiency in order to minimise their environmental impact.
Every part of the kit set - the shirt, the shorts, and the socks - are made from recycled polyester which comes from recycled plastic bottles. The material is produced via melting the materials down into a fine thread. Nike have used over three billion plastic bottles from rubbish debuts since 2010 in order to produce polyester - enough to cover 5,200 football fields with.
The kits are now available from 69,95 Euro in the Online Fan-shop, and from 10:00 CEST on Friday, 30th June 2017 onward in the WERDER Fan World at the Weser-Stadion.
