+++ Late arrival:

Melvyn Lorenzen arrived in Zillertal on Sunday lunchtime. The 21-year-old, who

picked up a facial injury in an incident a few weeks ago, has recovered and is

back. He missed the camp in Neuruppin but can now prepare for the new season.

Lorenzen took to the field with his teammates this afternoon. +++

+++ Zetterer leaves: Keeper Michael Zetterer has left the training camp in Zillertal. He has gone to Stuttgart to get an injury check out. +++

+++ Missing trio: Three players missed training on Sunday. Claudio Pizarro and Janek Sternberg worked individually; Santiago García did some light running. +++

+++ Appearances: 21 Werder players featured in yesterday’s friendly. Niklas Moisander, Sambou Yatabaré, Zetterer, Wolf and Oelschlägel missed out. The Finland defender is now training again, but Yatabaré is still working alone. +++

+++ Facing the fans: A number of supporters within the region had the chance to speak to high-level Werder staff members on Sunday. Dr. Hubertus Hess-Grunewald, Florian Kohfeldt, Torsten Frings and Christian Vander were available to speak. +++

+++ Special visit: An unexpected guest turned up at the training camp on Sunday. New DFB President Reinhard Grindel is on holiday in the region and was invited to take a look at what the team are getting up to by the board. As well as watching proceedings, he spoke with Frank Baumann, Klaus Filbry and Dr. Hubertus Hess-Grunewald. +++
