+++ Start of pre-season: Seven weeks have passed since Werder beat Eintracht Frankfurt on a dramatic final matchday. The players have enjoyed a well-deserved break and recharged their batteries ahead of the new season. Several players, including Aron Jóhannsson and Sambou Yatabaré, have continued to work hard towards their comebacks. Goalkeeper Michael Zetterer, for example, was back out on the training pitch on Monday morning and completed an individual session with U23 goalkeeping coach Manuel Klon. Pre-season training gets underway for the entire squad at the end of the week. Individual sessions will take place behind closed doors on Friday and Saturday, before manager Viktor Skripnik puts his players through their paces in the first public training session on Sunday. The Werder squad, including the summer signings, will begin their preparations for the upcoming Bundesliga campaign at 10:00 CEST. They will then travel directly to the first training camp in Neuruppin. +++

+++ Kick-off time against SV Meppen confirmed: During SV Werder’s summer training camp in Herzlake (9th-13th August 2016), the Green-Whites will play SV Meppen. The friendly against the Regionalliga side will take place on Wednesday, 10th August in the Hänsch-Arena. Kick-off is at 19:00 CEST. +++

+++ Get your new home shirt! The fans have had to wait a long time for the big reveal but Werder’s new home kit was finally unveiled on Friday morning. SVW will play in green and white stripes in the upcoming campaign. Players’ names will be printed above the number. The new shirts go on sale on Friday, 8th July. The WERDER Fan-Welt will open at 10:00 CEST. +++
