The German football association’s disciplinary tribunal has banned Aron Jóhannsson for two games and fined him 8,000 Euros after receiving a red card for dissent in his last game. The player is also not allowed to play in any other competitions for Werder until he has served his suspension. Werder have accepted the decision.

Referee Tobias Stieler showed Jóhannsson a straight red card in the 80th minute of last week’s encounter with Borussia Mönchengladbach.
