A life without smartphones – for many, that is simply unimaginable. A mobile is also a necessary accompaniment for the Werder first team players, whether it’s on long away trips, at the training ground or in everyday life. We’re finding out what the Werder players use their phones for, what their favourite apps are and what the latest trend is. This edition of ‘My Last Time’ is with Izet Hajrovic.
# My last call… was with my wife. She was in Hamburg and I just wanted to check that everything was ok. You have to take care of your wife (laughs).
# My last message… was also to my wife. When we’re not together in one place we communicate a lot via WhatsApp or we call.
# My last email… puh, I can’t remember. I’m not much of an email writer. I think it was to do with holiday planning. We haven’t picked one yet, but we normally organise our holidays quite spontaneously.
# My last photo… the last one I took was when I received a parking fine. Those sorts of photots I don’t send to my wife (laughs) they stay with me.
# My last Like on Instagram… was on a picture of one of my teammates. I don’t know exactly which picture it was or who it was, but I definitely liked it.
# My last post on Instagram was... a picture of me and my wife for our third wedding anniversary. This is the most special day of the year for us. She also uploaded a photo herself on the day.
# My last song… was by the rapper ‘Future’. The title is ‘Mask off’. He’s a good artist, but he’s not one of my favourites.
# The last app that I used was… WhatsApp. I’m the sort of person who prefers texting to calling. I send about the same amount of voice and text messages.
# The last WhatsApp group that I wrote in… was the Werder squad group. Generally the purpose of the group is for information, but sometimes videos or photos get put in there that you have to laugh at. We also put the dressing room selfie after the Nordderby in there.
# The last time that I willingly switched off my phone… that never really happens.
# My last game on my mobile... I used to play Poker. I still play it from time to time. But I don’t play for money, just against the computer. Then it doesn’t matter how it ends.
# My last recorded appointment… was when I had to get the tyres on my car changed. I usually only do this for very important appointments. Normally I remember my appointments.
# The last thing that I would do on my mobile… would be to share my location. When I post something, no-one is allowed to know where I am.
# The feeling I had the last time I forgot my phone… wasn’t a nice feeling. It’s annoying to have to go back when you know you’ve forgotten it. Normally I have it on me or I leave it in my place in the dressing room.
