Werder’s Florian Grillitsch has been called up to the Austrian national team. The 21-year-old comes in for the injured Louis Schaub (Rapid Vienna).

“It was always my dream as a kid to play for my country. I’m really looking forward to it and hope that I will make a lasting impression on the coach,” said Grillitsch, who will join the squad in training on Sunday afternoon.

He could make his debut in Innsbruck on Tuesday in the friendly against Finland’s Niklas Moisander. Florian Grillitsch will then travel back to Bremen one day later together with Zlatko Junuzovic.
