Werder will be without Serge Gnabry for their next Bundesliga match this weekend. The 21-year-old is still recovering from a thigh injury and will not be fit for the upcoming games against Freiburg and Schalke. Head coach Alexander Nouri gave the news on Thursday morning.
“We had hoped that he would be available again after the international break, but we don’t want to take any risks. Serge needs to regain full fitness and then he’ll be ready for an intense end to the season. We’ll need to use all our strength,” said Nouri. Serge Gnabry has already missed the Bundesliga matches against Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig due to injury.
