Felix Wiedwald leaves Werder

Felix Wiedwald will leave Werder Bremen and join English second division side Leeds United. Sporting director Frank Baumann confirmed the transfer on Friday.

"Felix told us of his desire to leave the club a few days ago. Therefore, we entered discussions and agreed a deal with Leeds United. We would like to thank Felix and wish him every success for the future," said Baumann.  

Felix Wiedwald joined Werder in the summer of 2015 from Eintracht Frankfurt. He played 59 times for the Green-Whites in the Bundesliga and six times in the DFB Pokal.
