It is a small step in the right direction for Max Kruse and Claudio Pizarro as the duo were able to complete some individual training at the Weser-Stadion on Thursday afternoon.

Whether that will be enough to warrant an appearance on Sunday in Augsburg however remains to be seen. Kruse had a break the day before and Pizarro had to be substituted early against Bayern. Niklas Moisander was able to get some running exercises under his belt but the Finland international will definitely not feature against FCA due to a pulled hamstring.

However his teammate was back on the grass. Lamine Sané, who was forced to sit out of training at the start of the week due to a persistent knee problem, was back amongst his teammates. Both U23 players Jesper Verlaat and Leon Jensen also found themselves amongst the 20 players involved.
