Milos Veljkovic drew 2-2 with Serbia under-21s on Tuesday night in their European Championship group game with Macedonia. Serbia opened the scoring through Gacinovic in the first half before Macedona turned the game on its head in the first half. It took a last minute equalizer from Durdevic to rescue a point for the Serbs. Werder’s centre back played the whole 90 minutes.
Veljkovic and co still have a chance of progressing to the knockout stages, but must beat Spain in their final group game, as only those who top the group will progress to the final four. However, Serbia must still rely on other results to go their way.
Spain and Portugal played each other on Tuesday evening, and Serbia will meet Spain in the final round of group fixtures on Friday 23 June at 20:45.
