Thomas Delaney was back involved in first-team training on Tuesday afternoon. The Denmark international completed all of the drills over the 90 minute session without any problems. “I feel good and don’t have any more pain. I’m pleased to be able to train with the team again,” said the Werder midfielder.

The 25-year-old has been out since he picked up a muscle strain just over three weeks ago in the win at Freiburg. After several individual sessions with rehab-coach Jens Beulke, the Dane was finally able to re-join the squad. Looking ahead to the upcoming home game against Hertha Berlin, Delaney said, “I’m full of energy and very excited.”
