Luca Caldirola will be not be making any more appearances for SV Werder Bremen throughout the remainder of the season. The centre-back was dealt a blow to his left foot shortly after the start of the second-half on Friday evening’s game against Eintracht Frankfurt, which broke his metatarsal. He received an examination on Saturday morning.
It’s already the second serious injury that Luca Caldirola has picked up this season. He had already broken his left foot at the start of September, due to which he had to sit out several months. “The injuries are separate of one another. It’s tough news to take for Luca and for us. We will give him our utmost support over the coming weeks, and we wish him a speedy recovery,” said Werder’s manager Alexander Nouri.
