Werder head coach Nouri said the reason for the change in personnel is due to a restructure in the team: "We looked back on the past few months and made a decision to reduce the size of our coaching team. I want to get even closer to the team and will take over various duties myself again. I want to thank Florian, who offered great assistance over the past two years. Sporting director Frank Baumann said: "Florian Bruns was a positive contribution to our team over the past two years both on and off the pitch, which is why we would like him to continue working at Werder. During the break we will find a time to discuss everything."
