Serge Gnabry caught

the eye with his hat-trick for Germany on Friday night, but he isn’t the only

Werder player away on international duty. A whole host of stars are looking to

gain further gaps during the current break. WERDER.DE takes a look at the

action so far.

SVW keeper Michael Zetterer is in the DFB-Team U21 squad but didn’t feature in their 1-0 victory over Turkey on Thursday. He has another chance to take to the field on Tuesday, when they face Poland in a friendly.

After failing to qualify for the EURO’s, Ulisses Garcia and Switzerland’s U21 national team underwent a massive change, with many U20 team players moving up the ranks under coach Heinz Moser. Garcia captained the side as they beat Russia 2-1.

Sambou Yatabaré was in Mali’s starting XI as they drew 0-0 with Gabon. Aron Jóhannsson, Theodor Gebre Selassie, Thanos Petsos and Fallou Diagne are all on international duty but haven’t featured during the current break yet.
