Florian Grillitsch’s pre-season hasn’t gone to plan so far. The Austrian midfielder has been suffering from an ear infection, which has meant that he has only been able to train individually to date. The 20-year-old has travelled to the training camp with his teammates and it is hoped that he will be able to return to full training in the coming days.

"Physically things are going well, I’m a lot better. I hope to join in soon," explained Grillitsch, after he completed his exercises on Tuesday morning. Being unable to start pre-season properly has frustrated the youngster, who explained that "despite having a nice, long break the thing I’m looking forward to most is returning to action."

He hopes to return to the field soon in order to build upon the performances that he put in last season. "I think that I’m developing well but I can’t get complacent. I need to give it my all as I want to play as many games as possible,” he added.
