SV Werder have agreed an early contract extension with Viktor Skripnik. The manager, assistant managers Torsten Frings and Florian Kohfeldt as well as goalkeeping coach Christian Vander will continue to form the coaching team until 30.06.2018. Sporting director Frank Baumann announced the news during Friday’s press conference.
Baumann is delighted to come to an agreement ahead of the new season. “Viktor Skripnik and his coaching staff have worked through difficult periods. We’re therefore delighted to have resolved the matter and are convinced that Viktor and his training team are the best option for Werder,” remarked the sporting director.
Speaking on behalf of the entire coaching team, Viktor Skripnik was pleased to sign an early contract extension. “We’re obviously all very pleased about the trust and confidence invested in us and that we can now continue our work here at Werder long term. We’ll all approach the upcoming tasks with hunger and desire.”
