Two Werder players returned to the field during the training session on Wednesday morning. Several Green-Whites fans came down to watch the team train in perfect conditions and witnessed the comebacks of both Claudio Pizarro and Papy Djilobodji.

While most of the squad took part in a fast-paced and aggressive training match, Pizarro completed an exercise program under the supervision of Werder’s performance coach Axel Dörrfuß. Djilobodji was able to take a full part in the session led by Viktor Skripnik. Santiago Garcia trained individually as he had the day before as he recovers from a concussion.

Some players from the U23s also trained with the squad on Wednesday morning, as Philipp Eggersglüß, Ousman Manneh and Torben Rehfeldt joined in with the session. The coaching staff have asked the team to be on the training ground at 15:00 CEST on Thursday for another training session open to the public.
