+++Family visit: The European Championship is just two weeks away. The Czech Republic are preparing for the tournament in Austria. In order to make sure that the players don’t miss their families too much, head coach Pavel Vrba has allowed their loved ones to stay in a hotel in the same town. Consequently wife Leona and son Noe have been able to spend time with Theodor Gebre Selassie ahead of the tournament. "I’m happy that they’re by my side. It’s nice of the coach to allow this. We spend our free time together," explained the defender. +++
+++Up and running: Werder attacker Melvyn Lorenzen landed in Africa earlier and good make his international debut for Uganda on Monday when they face Zimbabwe in a friendly. "I’m happy to be here and am looking forward to getting to know the coach and my teammates," he explained. Lorenzen was born in London but his father has Ugandan roots. However, the images have nothing to do with SVW – well, the official club at least. The Beach soccer tournament has been taking place Porto City Hall, with sides wearing shirts belonging to club’s across the globe. Werder beat Real Madrid 3-0 in the final to lift the title. Who knows, maybe their design will inspire Nike, who are currently creating our shirts for next season... +++
