Kleinheisler chosen in the EURO 2016 group stage XI: Hungary’s EURO 2016 adventure was ended with a 4-0 loss to Belgium in the round of 16 on Sunday. László Kleinheisler was one of the best players for Hungary in the European Championship finals but was unable to stop his team’s elimination at the hands of the Red Devils, due to his failure to recover in time from a thigh injury. Nevertheless, the trip to France was worth it for the 1.73 metre tall midfielder as he left a big impression of himself. French sports newspaper, L’Equipe selected him alongside the likes of Gareth Bale and Luca Modric in their EURO 2016 group stage XI. The Werder man was lively in the centre for Hungary and made a major contribution to his side as they reached the round of 16. Kleinheisler gave the assist in the win over Austria and lead the attack for the equaliser against Iceland.
