Werder begin the 54th Bundesliga season away at champions Bayern Munich. This was announced by the DFL on Wednesday morning. The Green-Whites will contest the match on Friday, 26th August, at 20:30 CEST. The first home game at the Weser-Stadion will not take place until the start of September, because of the international break, when Augsburg will be the visitors.

On matchday 12 (25th to 27th November 2016) the traditional north-derby awaits for all Werder fans. The first of these will be played away at HSV, with the return fixture taking place in Bremen on matchday 29 (15th to 16th April 2017).

For the first time in history, the 17th and last game of the first half of the season will be played after the winter break. Between 20th and 22nd January 2017, Werder will welcome last season’s runners-up BVB to the Weser. The season will end with an away match at Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, 20th may 2017, at 15:30 CEST.

For members, it is possible to order tickets for the first four home games from Friday, 1st July, at 09:00 CEST. The online ordering service can be found at WERDER.DE!
