Last season, Lazio managed to make it to the round of 16 of the Europa League, where the two-time Italian champions and six-time cup winners were defeated over two legs by Sparta Prague. Shortly after, Simone Inzaghi took control of the team where ex Werder star and world champion Miroslav Klose was under contract until the end of last season. Lazio finished the season in eighth place in Serie A.

Tickets for the match can be purchased from Wednesday, 6th July, either at WERDER.DE or from the ticket office. The price for the standing area is 10 Euros, and in the seated areas it is between 20 Euros and 40 Euros.
