Werder will round up their preparation for the 2016/17 season with a five-day training camp in Herzlake. From Tuesday 9th until Saturday 13th August, head coach Viktor Skripnik’s team will put the finishing touches on their game, ready for the first competitive matches of next season. Werder are returning to Herzlake for the first time since January 1999, when it received the nickname “Schmerzlake” (Painlake).
During their time there, Werder will also contest a friendly against SV Meppen. Their clash against the third-division side will take place on Wednesday, 10th August in the Meppener Hänsch-Arena. The kick-off time is still to be decided.
